NFL investigating Favre and his junk

By Jeff

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre may have sent left inappropriate voice mails and text messages to a former New York Jets employee back in 2008. He may have also sent a photo of his penis to the woman, Jenn Sterger, via a text. Deadspin first reported the story, but they also said the voice mails and penis could belong to someone else.

If you would like to view said penis, Deadspin had it on their site at one point. Small children (RJ) read this blog, so it will not be appearing in this space.
Hand check!

Radio stations this morning were also reporting that a pair of Jets massage therapists also said they received inappropriate messages from the star quarterback, who happens to be playing the Jets tonight.

If the allegations are true, Favre will be suspended and his popularity is going to dive bomb. Look at all the blowback (Poor word choice? Probably) that came from Tiger Woods' infidelities. Woman really hate that guy now. And they should. He cheated on his wife with multiple women, despite having two young children.

As bad as that was, the Favre public fallout would be worse for a number of reasons if he is guilty.

First, Woods' wife was in perfect health when he went behind her back. Favre's wife is breast cancer survivor and she has become a very active supporter of breast cancer awareness and education. She even created the Deanna Favre Hope Foundation to fight the disease. If Brett did indeed send photos of his privates to Sterger (She seems like a classy gal, just Google Image her and you'll see what I mean.), he is going to become one of women's No. 1 enemies. Fans will boycott the man outside of every stadium across the NFL when he comes to town, even if he's suspended. No more Levi's or Sears commercials for Brett. These companies will drop him faster than the New Orleans Saints did in last year's NFC Championship if he was unfaithful to his wife.

If Joe Namath just wanted to kiss Suzy Kolber,
imagine what he'd say about Sterger.
Second, despite his popularity dropping somewhat because of his constant indecisiveness regarding retirement, Favre is still very loved by the fans. He has also been in the spotlight more than Woods. Don't get me wrong, Woods was the most popular athlete in the world when news came out he liked to mess around. But Favre has been a media darling forever. Where Woods has been viewed as a jerk and cold, Favre has been praised for how he just loves playing the game and has a good time on the field. When you see clips of Favre, he's smiling or chatting it up with a teammate. With Woods, all you get is a determined scowl and bad words. If Favre was having too much fun off the field, fans are going to feel as if they've been lied to for the past 20 years.

Finally, Favre has little time for redemption. He's 41 years old in a sport where few athletes make it to 30. Woods is 35 in a sport where some players remain relevant into their 60s. He still has time to win his fans back and prove he is a changed man. Favre has no such luxury. If he doesn't win this season, the final thing people will remember is his alleged sexting. We will still talk about him for his passing records; however, there will always be a "but" following his accomplishments.

If the reports are true, I won't be a fan of Brett anymore. I'll be disgusted by him and think he is an idiot. In the day of constant media coverage, blogs, social networks, etc., you can't get away with stupid actions like sexting women who are not your wife. I'm hoping it's not true, but his lack of denial has me thinking it's not.

  1. I'll ignore the small children quip to say, the caption you wrote underneath the picture of Sterger was great.

  2. I picked you because I knew you could take it. You should be honored.

  3. I'm hoping this investigation ends with some sort of penis lineup. Gayest thing I've ever typed, but I think this whole situation is hilarious.

  4. If I may, the situations are different. Tiger cheated, multiple times. Favre TRIED to cheat multiple times. He failed at cheating. Isn't that weird to say that? To fail at dishonoring your wife?? Tiger is still a bigger tool than Brett, and he has a bigger tool than Brett.

If it comes out that Brett's infidelity goes beyond attempting to cheat, he'll then moved lower towards Tiger status.

Great call on the =w= song.

  5. They are different, but the consequences and reactions in the media and public will be similar.

    actually its Wrangler...not Levis.

How come no one is talking about Brett's figurative balls. The guy was willing to show his incredibly tiny dingling to some chic. I mean c'mon.

But more importantly...how come no one is even pondering the absurdity of it? I mean...this guy is a football player. He's got it all. He could sleep wwhomever, is it really that hard? Doe he have to show pictures? I mean, what went on in his mind? Did someone tell him all he has to do is show pics of his thing?

I seriously think players egged him on and gave him really bad advise. or he saw how some guys 'here's lookn at you santonio holmes' had their pics out and thought it would work for him. He probably also forgot that he's a bigger star than most of these losers with a wife. I just dont get it. I mean. Is Brett Favre really this stupid? Seriously. I dont mean that as an exaggeration. He must be really really stupid.
