Don't get confused by the headline. There is no question the Pittsburgh Pirates are worse than the Milwaukee Brewers. The Brewers and Pirates are in similar situations in most years, though. Aside from 2008, when the Brewers acquired CC Sabathia and made the playoffs, both teams usually find September to be meaningless.
